**A Safe Space**
In a world filled with uncertainty and rapid change, navigating the turbulent emotions that accompany being human can be challenging. It’s important to have a space where you can share your thoughts, concerns, and fears in a safe, HIPAA-compliant environment. Therapy can serve as a powerful tool to guide you toward a brighter and more fulfilling future.
At Rap Teletherapy, PLLC, we understand that seeking support can be challenging; sometimes, getting to an office is the hardest part. That’s why we offer in-home counseling services, bringing confidential and professional mental health care to the environments where you feel most comfortable—whether it’s your home or another private location of your choice. We provide compassionate, evidence-based therapy for both teens and adults, addressing issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and emotional challenges.
Who can benefit from in-home counseling?
Individuals with mobility limitations, chronic illnesses, or transportation barriers.
Teens who may respond better to therapy in a familiar setting.
People struggling with high anxiety, panic disorders, or agoraphobia.
Caregivers or families who require convenient, collaborative sessions.
Anyone who prefers the privacy and comfort of their home for mental health care. Those who prefer the privacy and comfort of their home for mental health care.
Maya Angelou's poem, "A Brave and Startling Truth," which she wrote to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the United Nations. I had the pleasure of hearing her recite this poem in 1997 at the ACA (American Counseling Association) conference.
I am a former elementary school teacher and school guidance counselor with years of experience in education. I earned a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling (2020) and a K-12 School Guidance & Counseling degree from Siena Heights University (1997). I have extensive lived experience working with children, teens, and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, interpersonal difficulties, life transitions, grief, and loss, as well as with individuals who identify as queer, non-binary, gender non-conforming, trans, gay, lesbian, and bisexual. We all deserve a safe space to heal, and I would be honored to hold this space for you.
